In this general election, 5,140 Christian County voters requested an absentee ballot. As of Wednesday, more than 3,000 had been returned to the county clerk's office.

The governor called on local health departments to fine bars and restaurants if they are not following the 50% capacity rules, instead of merely educating them about the rules and the reasons for them.
