The governor called on local health departments to fine bars and restaurants if they are not following the 50% capacity rules, instead of merely educating them about the rules and the reasons for them. He also noted that the state Labor Cabinet and Alcoholic Beverage Control agents could help enforce the rules.

Voters have until Oct. 9 to request a mail-in ballot, which they can return by mail or hand-deliver to the courthouse or sheriff's office. Voters also have the ability to check online for the status of their ballot, including whether it has been received at the clerk’s office.
Kayla Bebout called on residents to discontinue social gatherings, sporting events and extracurricular activities. A spokesman for the school system said the district would not follow that advice.
