Stephanie Blanton, Christian County Middle School assistant principal, will become the school’s principal in July, Superintendent Chris Bentzel announced in a press release.

Blanton has been employed by Christian County Public Schools since 2008 — initially as a first-grade teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School and later as a specialized reading and math interventionist. In 2021 she became an assistant principal at MLK and then became principal. She has been an assistant principal at CCMS since 2024.

She earned her bachelor’s and multiple master’s degrees at Murray State University, the press release states.

Kristen Lindsey, the current principal at CCMS, will become a student services administrator at the new Christian County High School next year.

“I am honored and excited for the opportunity to lead Christian County Middle School,” said Blanton. “I am excited to build upon the strong foundation and positive momentum established under Mrs. Lindsey’s leadership.”
