Museum hosting creative writing workshop

Hopkinsville Community College English professor Elizabeth Burton will teach the workshop, using artifacts as inspiration.

The public is invited to a creative writing workshop from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Pennyroyal Area Museum, 217 E. Ninth St.

Using the museum’s collection as inspiration, Hopkinsville Community College English professor Elizabeth Burton will lead the workshop for the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County

“… Burton joins us for a workshop that uses historical objects from the museum’s collection to spark creativity. Writers will have the chance to examine artifacts, pictures, and items in the exhibit as they create original compositions,” the museum staff said in a press release. 

The workshop is free, and light refreshments will be served.
