A Motown tribute concert, performed by Shadows of the 60s, is slated for Valentine’s night at the Alhambra Theatre.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. Friday show, which are available to purchase online, are $50 for general admission or $38 for students and military members. The theater will open at 6 p.m.
The show is part of the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s Live at the Alhambra series, so season-ticket holders have already paid for admission.
Shadows of the 60s, which tours nationally, features a large ensemble of musicians and dancers who perform hits by groups such as the Temptations, The Four Tops and the Supremes.
“This highly interactive and visually captivating production brings to life the timeless music of The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Contours and many more,” organizers said in a press release from the arts councils. “With exquisitely designed costumes and powerhouse vocals backed by top industry musicians, Shadows of the 60s recreates the energy and magic of an original Motown concert experience, transporting audiences back to the golden era of soul.”
