Military and families invited to tour local museums at no charge

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County is participating in the Blue Star Museums program through Labor Day.

Now through Labor Day, active-duty military members and their families can tour the Pennyroyal Area Museum and the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum, both on East Ninth Street downtown, free of charge.

The offer is part of a Blue Star Museums program through the National Endowment for the Arts.

“We appreciate the service of our military and their families and hope you’ll come visit us soon,” the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County said in a Facebook post.
