Three high school students from Christian County have received a nomination for appointment to a military service academy from U.S. Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the congressman’s office announced in a press release.
They are:
- Antwan Jacobe Dunmyer Jr., a student from Fort Campbell who attends Immanuel Christian High School, who received a nomination to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
- Hunter William Reeves, a student at Fort Campbell High School who received a nomination to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy.
- Jackson Benjamin Smith, a student at Hopkinsville High School who received a nomination to the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
“I want to congratulate these outstanding students on their achievements. These students are local leaders and will now have the opportunity to attend our nation’s service academies,” Comer said in the press release. “Each individual has demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, and character. Our community should be extremely proud of these individuals. Their desire to serve our nation’s armed services does not go unnoticed, and I wish them the best as they move forward through the appointment process.”
