Local minister to speak Thursday for HCC program on MLK

Hopkinsville Community College will host an online program commemorating the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at noon Thursday. 

The speaker will be the Rev. Aaron Pettus, pastor of Foston Chapel Baptist Church, the college’s Religion and Philosophy Club announced in a Facebook post. His talk is titled “Let There Be Peace on Earth.”

Pettus, a native of Hopkinsville, is the assistant director and transfer coordinator for Student Support Services at the college. He has a bachelor’s degree in theology from American Baptist College and a bachelor’s in education at Austin Peay State University. He has a master’s degree from Murray State University and also studied at Hopkinsville College of the Bible and Andersonville Theological College.
