The Pennyroyal Arts Council has announced its lineup for the 2022-23 “Live at the Alhambra” series, starting with a stand-up comic in September and concluding with a Motown group in April.
“The upcoming season marks the 95th birthday of our beloved Alhambra Theatre, and to celebrate we’re rolling out the red carpet with our biggest season yet,” Executive Director Margaret Prim said in a press release. “Throughout the year, we’ll announce surprise shows with special guests to mark the occasion.”
The shows are:
- Comic Henry Cho, Sept. 24
- Appalachian Road Show, an acoustic ensemble blending Americana, bluegrass and folk, Oct. 7
- Ailey II, a modern dance company, Oct. 30
- Annie Moses Band, roots musicians with classical polish, Nov. 18
- The Steeldrivers, Grammy-winning bluegrass band, Dec. 16
- ONES, a Beatles tribute band, Feb. 11
- Music City Hit-Makers, an ensemble of award-winning songwriters from Nashville, March 18
- That Motown Band, a 10-piece band with soulful performances, April 14
