The League of Women Voters of Hopkinsville is inviting the public to meet local general election candidates during a ticketed event at the Pennyroyal Area Museum, 217 E. Ninth St.
Dessert, coffee and soft drinks will be served during Stumpin’ Sweets with the Candidates at 4 p.m. on Sept. 27.
Tickets are $10 and need to be purchased in advance by contacting the League of Women Voters on the group’s Facebook page or by email at Hopkinsville.LWV@gmail.com.
League president Nikki Chambers said the dessert takes the place of the pre-election soup luncheon the organization sponsored for many years.
