Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County recognizes graduates

The 27 class members have raised approximately $12,000 to help renovate a house for the Men2Be mentoring program.

Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County has recognized the 27 graduates of its 2022-23 class, who recently completed the program that seeks to identify and develop community leaders. Their graduation ceremony was Thursday, May 18, at the Hopkinsville Community College.

The class members and the businesses and organizations they represented are:

The Sherry Jeffers Spirit of Leadership Award, chosen by the class members, was awarded to Guffey. 

The program managers for the class were Dustin Gilbert, Wende Aldridge and Ruth Lynch.

For their class project, the members decided to help renovate a house that will serve as a headquarter for Men2Be, a mentoring program for boys.

“Their goal was to raise $10,000, and they have raised so far over $12,000 for this project. Stay [tuned] for more details as the project is still under way. A ribbon cutting will be later this summer,” states a post on the Leadership Facebook page

Applications are now being accepted for the 2023-24 Leadership class.
