Leadership Christian County accepting applications

Twenty class members will be selected. The deadline to apply is May 20.

Leadership Christian County is accepting applications for its next nine-month session for individuals who “have a demonstrated talent and commitment for leadership” to help guide the future of Hopkinsville and Christian County. 

“The program is an opportunity to awaken the leader within you allowing you to transform your potential into a reality and embark on a path of discovery and achievement,” Leadership chair Wende Aldridge said in a press release. 

Applicants must live or work in Christian County and have the support of the organization or business they represent.

“The Leadership Christian County class offers participants a great educational opportunity to better understand our community while expanding and developing their network of contacts,” incoming chair Lucas Stegner said in the release. “In addition, this program inspires a higher level of civic and community energy and gives the participants the opportunity to meet local leaders, broadening their exposure to current issues and perspectives.”

Leadership class members meet monthly for sessions that explore various aspects of the community. The application for the 2025-26 class includes the following schedule:

  • Aug. 15 — Opening Retreat(through dinner)
  • Sept. 12 — Agriculture Day
  • Oct. 2 — Military Day(subject to change)
  • Nov. 14 — Social Impact Day
  • Dec. 5 — Class Presentations(morning event)
  • Dec. 12 — Government & Justice Day
  • Jan. 9 — Health & Human Services Day
  • Feb. 13 — Business & Industry Day
  • February/March TBD — Frankfort Day
  • March 13 — Education Day
  • April 17 — Arts & Heritage Day
  • May 8 — Closing Retreat
  • 3rd Week of May — Graduation

Twenty members will be accepted. The application deadline is May 20. The application form is available online.
