Knights of Columbus plan Lenten fish fries at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church

The Knights of Columbus will host Friday fish fry meals during Lent at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 902 E. Ninth St.

Meals will be available to eat in or carry out from 5 to 7 p.m. every Friday, Feb. 16 through March 22, at the church’s Meredith Hall.

A meal includes fried fish, french fries, cole slaw, hush puppies and white beans, plus a drink and dessert. The cost is $10 for adults and $3 for children. The meals are free for active-duty military and first-responders.

Community members from outside the church are invited to the meals. Anyone wanting to place a carry-out order can call Tom O’Hagan at 270-348-2322.

“It is one of our main fundraisers, along with the golf scramble we do every year,” said O’Hagan. The men’s fraternal organization raises money to support a number of charitable initiatives, including food baskets for community members in need during the holidays
