Kentucky students invited to design ‘I Voted’ stickers

Secretary of State Michael Adams' office is conducted a contest to pick a sticker that voters will receive at the polls in November.

When Kentucky voters go to the polls in the November general election, they will be given an “I Voted” sticker that was designed by a student in the commonwealth.

Secretary of State Michael Adams announced Monday that his office is inviting Kentucky students to participate in the first-ever “I Voted” sticker contest. It is open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

“Each year, my office encourages civic participation among middle and high school students through an essay and slogan contest,” Adams said in a press release. “This sticker contest allows us to get our youngest Kentuckians involved as well.”

Entries must be received by 4 p.m. May 17.

Students should submit original artwork with the words “I Voted” in an JPG or PNG format to sos.secretary@ky.gov.

Each entry should include the student’s name, school, address and phone number.

“The finalists will be chosen by the Secretary of State’s Office to go on a ballot which will be voted on during the 2024 Kentucky State Fair,” the press release states. “The top vote-getter’s design will be printed on stickers and sent to interested county clerks to provide to voters in November.”
