Ashli Watts, president and CEO of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, will be in Hopkinsville on Nov. 29 to speak at an eye-opener breakfast that the local chamber is hosting. It starts at 7:30 a.m. at the James E. Bruce Convention Center, and tickets are $15 per person.

Watts will give a legislative update, outlining policies that the state chamber will advocate for in the General Assembly’s 2023 session.

Two Hopkinsville women — Planters Bank president Kelley Workman and Williams Advertising owner Sarah Whitaker — chair a pair of the state chamber’s public policy councils, which help guide the organization’s legislative priorities. Workman chairs Education and Workforce. Whitaker chairs Small Business.

Tickets for the breakfast can be purchased online. The deadline for reservations is Nov. 22.
