Hoptown Chronicle has established a collaboration with WKMS, the public radio station at Murray State University, so the two news outlets can share stories of interest to their respective audiences.
The agreement also extends to the Association of Kentucky Public Radio Stations, allowing for local publication of newsworthy stories from across the commonwealth.
“The agreement will allow us to help Hopkinsville readers stay abreast of important regional and state news,” Hoptown Chronicle founder and editor Jennifer P. Brown said. “This was made possible by WKMS station manager Chad Lampe, who contacted me even before our website was launched to see how we could help each other.”
WKMS ran its first Hoptown Chronicle story, about Hopkinsville’s Big Read, on Monday.
In addition to keeping readers in touch with state stories, the collaboration also ensures that WKMS listeners across Western Kentucky will be learning more about Hopkinsville events and downtown development.
