Hopkinsville workshop: How to qualify for historic tax credits

The free workshop on July 24 is for residents who want to learn about tax credits used to rehab historic homes and buildings.

Residents are invited to a free workshop to learn how to qualify for historic tax credits for rehabilitating historic homes and buildings. 

Community and Development Services, in conjunction with Hopkinsville’s Downtown Renaissance District, is offering the workshop at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center, 715 S. Virginia St.

The guest speaker will be Katie Wilborn, of the Kentucky Heritage Council.

Wilborn administers the Site Development Program, which oversees state and federal tax incentive programs that encourage “the protection and restoration of historic properties listed either individually or within a district [of] properties eligible to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places,” states a press release from Downtown Renaissance Director Holly Boggess.
