Hopkinsville’s Veterans Day Parade is slated for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, along a route from the Memorial Building on South Virginia Street to the Christian County Justice Center on Ninth Street.
Veterans are invited to march in the parade, and students of local schools are being encouraged to line the parade route to show support for the veterans.
Trophies will be awarded to the school with the most students present and to the school with the most spirit.
Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation and the Military Affairs Committee for the Christian County Chamber of Commerce are the parade organizers.
Veterans who want more information about participating should contact Parks and Recreation staff member Pam Rudd at 270-887-4290.
