Hopkinsville regional site has vaccine appointment times available

The health department is seeking people ages 70 and older and anyone employed as child care workers to get the vaccine as part of phase 1b.

The Christian County Health Department has COVID-19 vaccine appointment times available next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for Kentucky residents in phase 1b — including those age 70 and older and people employed as child care workers.

Appointments at the James E Bruce Convention Center’s regional vaccination clinic can be scheduled online or by calling the health department at 270-887-4160.

Health officials are seeking help to reach people who qualify for the vaccine in phase 1b but haven’t yet scheduled an appointment.

“Please pass this information along in our community to ensure everyone is notified,” health department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney-Brunt said in a news release. “For those who may not have access to the internet, we are asking that community organizations, faith-based organizations, etc., pass this information along to those you serve and help them sign up for a vaccine.”
