Hopkinsville museum announces temporary closure for minor maintenance, exhibit changes

The museum will close to the public on Jan. 6 and reopen on Jan. 20.

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County will close the Pennyroyal Area Museum for two weeks, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 6. It will reopen on Jan. 20.

While the museum is temporarily closed to the public, staff members will “perform annual housing cleaning, minor maintenance tasks and basic exhibit changes,” Alissa Keller, executive director, said in a press release.

Prior to closing, the museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week. 

Normal hours for the museum and its gift shop at 217 E. Ninth St. are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
