Hopkinsville Mayor’s Community Awards presented

The awards were designed to recognize "individuals or organizations who diligently work to improve our community without seeking recognition."

The inaugural Mayor’s Community Awards were presented Friday at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center.

The honorees were:

  • Randy Graham — Volunteer Award
  • Stella’s Soap Co. — Small Business Award
  • Kiwanis of Hopkinsville — Nonprofit Award
  • Lindsay Walker — Educator Award
  • Payton Rogers, Hopkinsville Fire Department — City Employee Award

In a press release earlier this summer seeking nominations, Mayor James R. Knight Jr. said, “We are specifically looking for those individuals or organizations who diligently work to improve our community without seeking recognition.” He said the awards would “recognize and celebrate unsung heroes who make our community great.”
