The League of Women Voters of Hopkinsville will host a virtual forum about legislative redistricting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
“As Kentucky state legislators begin to redraw district boundary lines to accommodate shifts in population within the state, the league is encouraging the community to share their ideas for new maps of voting districts,” a league representative said in a news release. “Regardless of ethnicity, zip code or interest, citizens need to be fairly represented in Frankfort and in Washington.”
During the forum, the league will share Kentucky’s 2020 Census data and legislative district maps.
Anyone interested in seeing the forum can register to receive a link on the state LWV’s website or on the Hopkinsville league’s Facebook page.
