Hopkinsville Art Guild slates community classes

The classes are taught on Saturdays and generally last four hours.

The Hopkinsville Art Guild is offering several classes in the coming months, and the fee for most sessions is $35 for non-members. All of the classes last four hours. 

The following classes are slated:

  • Beginning painting with Jeannie White — 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19
  • Creating dramatic portraits with Tommy Fletcher — 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21
  • Drawing with colored pencils with Betty Liles — 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13
  • Jewelry making with Sarah Brechwald — 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10
  • Pastels with Jeannie White — 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9

There is also a free watercolor workshop to learn about using negative painting techniques. Leah Foote will lead the class. It begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23.
