Holiday market planned at brewery during Christmas parade

Vansauwa's Tacos is organizing the market with Black-owned businesses that specialize in sweet treats and unique gifts.

Vansauwa’s Tacos and Vegan Eats is organizing the Holiday Sweets and Treats Market featuring food and unique gifts by local makers from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Hopkinsville Brewing Co. 

Black-owned businesses that specialize in sweet treats and unique gifts will be on hand for the celebration. It will offer a “perfect opportunity to support local entrepreneurs while getting into the holiday spirit” during Hopkinsville’s Christmas Parade, organizers said in a press release. The brewery, at Fifth and Main streets, is on the parade route.

The market will feature an assortment of desserts, baked goods and holiday gifts. Vamsauwa’s food truck will be on hand serving its full menu and two new “Winter Warmer” items — Rasta Pasta and the unique Jerk BBQ Parfait. 

In addition, there will be a children’s craft corner hosted by the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library.
