The next History on Tap program sponsored by the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County will be Outside the Bluegrass: Christian County’s Thoroughbred Farms. It’s scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at Hopkinsville Brewing Co.
“Kentucky’s reputation for breeding thoroughbred horses stretches across centuries and around the world, but most of that reputation connects to our neighbors in the Bluegrass region,” states a press release from the museum. “Join Jennifer P. Brown, publisher and editor of Hoptown Chronicle, for this exploration of Christian County’s history of thoroughbred farms in the early to mid-20th century.
History on Tap is a free monthly series that “seeks to share local history in a relaxed, fun setting.” The programs are typically held on the last Thursday of the month.
