Hopkinsville Electric System has launched a new electric service outage map and reporting system, the utility announced in a news release. The system will allow customers to learn about planned outages, report an outage, check the status of their outage and get periodic updates.
“We’ve invested in this technology so that customers can see real-time what’s going on if their electric service is interrupted. In the past, outages were being worked on without customers always knowing. Now with this communication tool, customers will be better informed as we work to restore electric service,” said HES General Manager Jeff Hurd.
