The Christian County Health Department is scheduling new first-dose appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday at the James E. Bruce Convention Center.
Kentucky residents in phases 1a and 1b can set up an appointment online or by calling the health department at 270-887-4160, ext. 640.
Phase 1a includes health care workers. Phase 1b includes first responders, K-12 school employees and people age 70 and older.
In addition, Gov. Andy Beshear recently ordered that childcare workers be added to phase 1b.
Health department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney-Brunt said this group is for individuals whose occupation is child care, not for people who volunteer to care for children.
Because of the potential for more snowfall, the Bruce Center vaccine clinic will delay its Thursday opening until 9:30 a.m.
Anyone with an appointment time before the opening should come between 9:30 a.m. and noon or 1 and 3 p.m.
