HCA names a new headmaster

John Walsh, who is currently an assistant principal at Pembroke Elementary School, will become headmaster at HCA in July.

Heritage Christian Academy will have a new headmaster who begins in July, the school announced in a news release.

He is John Walsh, who is currently the assistant principal of Pembroke Elementary School. 

Walsh received his Bachelor of Science in Religious Studies at Western Kentucky University followed by a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also earned a Master of Arts in Special Education at Murray State University and two additional advanced education degrees. 

“I am excited for the opportunity to join the HCA family as headmaster,” Walsh said in the release. “As a parent of two HCA graduates, I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence in education with a strong Biblical foundation.”

Walsh will follow Linda Garris, who has been the head of HCA for 17 years. The school will begin its 28th academic year in August.
