Linda Garris, longtime headmaster of Heritage Christian Academy, has announced she will retire at the end of the school year, according to a news release from the school.

Garris joined HCA in 1997 as a middle and high school math teacher. She spent four years as assistant headmaster before being chosen to lead HCA in 2004.

“Leaving HCA after 24 years is bittersweet,” Garris said in the announcement. “While I look forward to spending more time with my family, I will miss my HCA family. I have made some great friends during my time here. My life has been truly blessed by being a part of the Heritage family. ‘Once a Warrior, always a Warrior.’”
