Garden and Outdoor Living Expo slated April 11-12 in Hopkinsville

The Christian County Master Gardener Association hosts the expo at the Cooperative Extension Service Expo Center on Pembroke Road.

The Christian County Master Gardener Association will have its annual Garden and Outdoor Living Expo from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Christian County Cooperative Extension Service Expo Center, 2850 Pembroke Road.

This marks the 20th year for the event, which will feature more than 30 vendors selling plants, garden supplies, art and outdoor living equipment. Admission is free.

The hosts will provide free sharpening of tools and mower blades both days. Attendees can get free tree seedlings while supplies last. Children’s activities are planned both days, and a silent auction will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. 

Food vendors on Friday will include The Cupcake Lady, G’s BBQ and Vansauwa’s Tacos and Vegan Eats. Saturday’s food vendors will be The Cupcake Lady, EZ Eats and G’s BBQ.

Saturday seminars will include:

  • 10 a.m. — Landscape Care and Maintenance, led by Ashley Short, Highlandbrook Nursery
  • 11:30 a.m. — Barefoot Biodynamics, led by Jeff Pope, The Barefoot Farmer
  • 1 p.m. — Expanded Barefoot Biodynamics, led by Jeff Pope, The Barefoot Farmer
