Fundraising dinner on May 9 will benefit Challenge House Movement

The event at First Baptist Church will celebrate the people who work with the inner-city ministry.

Hopkinsville’s Challenge House Movement will have its second annual fundraising dinner on Saturday, May 9, at First Baptist Church, 1400 S. Main St. 

The dinner will be a celebration of the people who are serving the inner-city ministry that provides practical help and inspiration through six Challenge Houses. They are located at:

  • 1001 Central Ave.
  • 311 Bryan St.
  • 123 S. Fowler Ave.
  • 517 N. Elm St.
  • 2130 Crockett St.
  • 1605 Phelps Ave.

Ambassadors who reside in the Challenge Houses serve as resources in a variety of ways to their neighbors. This includes hosting tutoring sessions, serving meals, offering programs for children, Bible study and other efforts.

The fundraising dinner will begin at 5 p.m. A silent auction is planned at 4:30 p.m.

The cost for dinner is $40 per person, and table sponsorships are available for $300.
