Free movie series begins this summer at Alhambra Theatre

The Pennyroyal Arts Council and the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library are collaborating on the series to bring a mix of children's shows and adult features.

A community movie series sponsored by the Pennyroyal Arts Council and the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library will feature 17 films at the Alhambra Theatre in downtown Hopkinsville.

It begins this summer and runs to next winter. A mix of children’s shows and adult features are planned. Admission will be free of charge.

Morning screenings for the children’s shows will include interactive elements to include “a fun and engaging experience for younger audiences — from costume contests to sing-alongs and themed activities tied to each film,” organizers said in a press release
