Economic agency OKs $58,785 for Casey Jones project

The funding comes from the Delta Regional Authority.

The Delta Regional Authority has approved $58,785 to Christian Fiscal Court to assist in water and electric upgrades that will accommodate an expansion of Casey Jones Distillery on Witty Lane, according to a press release from Gov. Andy Beshear’s office.

The distillery is expanding its operation with two new stills and a rickhouse to store barrels of bourbon and other distilled spirits. The owners broke ground on the rickhouse last week.

The Delta Regional Authority was established by Congress in 2000 to improve economic conditions in 252 counties and parishes across eight states in the region.
