Downtown Tipsy Tour offering ‘seedy and scandalous’ stories is Saturday

Alissa Keller, executive director of the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, will lead the tour.

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County has planned another of its popular Downtown Tipsy Tours on Saturday, Sept. 30.

“This walking tour will start at the Pennyroyal Area Museum and will visit three of Hopkinsville’s downtown establishments as we stroll and drink our way through some of the seedy and scandalous moments of the past,” the museum announced.

The tour starts at 5 p.m. at the Pennyroyal Area Museum, and guests will get a special adult beverage at each of the three stops. Lasting about two hours, the tour will cover approximately 1.5 miles and end at Hopkinsville Brewing Co.

Tickets, limited to guests who are at least 21, are $30. Museum members get a 10% discount. The price includes the three drinks.

A limited number of tickets are available at the museum, 217 E. Ninth St., or online through Eventbrite
