COVID-19 testing continues at Tie Breaker Park; here’s what you need to know

Insurance is not required, and there's no charge for a test.

The Christian County Health Department operates the drive-thru COVID-19 test site at Tie Breaker Park six days a week, and there are no restrictions on eligibility other than the number of tests available to administer.

The testing program is a collaboration between state health officials and the local health department. In addition, several local agencies have assisted with logistics.

Tests are conducted 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturdays. Vehicles enter the test site from the park’s LaFayette Road entrance.

There’s no cost for the test and no requirement to have insurance, according to local health officials. A person does not have to have symptoms of the respiratory disease to receive a test.

In general, the health department is able to administer 70 tests a day.

Anyone who does not have transportation to the test site is asked to call the health department at 270-887-4160 for assistance.

Here’s a video that demonstrates the process.
