County’s COVID-19 total increases by 2 to 105 with 13 active cases

The state reported 135 new cases and 10 deaths.

Two newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported Thursday in Christian County, raising the total to 105, the local health department reported.

There were 13 active cases, and 89 recovered, in addition to three deaths since the start of the coronavirus outbreak.

The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:

  • Pediatric (0-21): 3
  • Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 9
  • Older Adult (60-84): 1
  • Elderly (85+): 0

By race, the county’s total includes 83 white, 21 black and one Asian.

The state reported 135 newly confirmed cases Thursday, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 8,236, Gov. Andy Beshear said at his daily briefing.

Kentucky had 10 deaths; the total number of people who have died increased to 386. They include a woman, 93, from Jackson County; a man, 62, from Fayette County; a woman, 73, from Adair County; a man, 72, from Simpson County; two women, both 56, from Warren County; a man, 81, and a woman, 86, both from Oldham County; and two men, 69 and 78, from Jefferson County.

The governor said 3,008 people have recovered from the coronavirus.
