The Christian County Health Department reported three newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, increasing the county’s total to 182. It includes 42 active cases, 137 recovered and three deaths.
The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:
- Youth (0-21): 6
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 26
- Older Adult (60-84): 10
- Elderly (85+): 0
By race, the county’s coronavirus cases include 137 Caucasian, 44 Black and one Asian.
In Gov. Andy Beshear’s briefing Wednesday, he reported 20 new cases in Christian County. The discrepancy between the state and county reports could be the result of a difference in when case numbers are confirmed. Typically, local agencies have those numbers earlier than the state, so the governor is sometimes reporting several days of cases at one time.
The county’s case total increased by 15 from Friday to Wednesday.
