County health director receives state recognition

Christian County Health Director Kayla Bebout has received the Commissioner’s Meritorious Service Award from state Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack, the Kentucky Public Health Association announced Thursday in a Facebook post. Bebout is president of the state association. 

The local health department also announced the award on social media.

“We are so grateful to have such a hardworking and dedicated director at CCHD. We couldn’t do this important work without her leadership and guidance, especially this year during our battle against COVID-19,” the local agency said in its Facebook post. “Congratulations and thank you for all of your hard work serving our community.”

No other information was provided about the award.
