Community Thanksgiving service planned Nov. 26 at Freeman Chapel

Freeman Chapel CME Church, 137 S. Virginia St., will host this year’s Community Thanksgiving service sponsored by Christian County Ministerial Association.

The service will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, and the Rev. Becky Durham, of First Presbyterian Church, will give the message. 

The ministerial association encourages everyone in the community to attend. The service usually lasts about one hour. 

“We have a lot of new ministers in the community so we are looking for a way to bring the churches together at Thanksgiving time,” said the Rev. Lisa Lewis Balboa, pastor of Freeman Chapel

The Very Rev. Stephen Spicer, rector of Grace Episcopal Church, is president of the ministerial association.
