Classical musicians slate July 27 program in Hopkinsville

Amanda Huff-McClure and Bill Koehler will play selections on bass and piano.

Classical musicians Bill Koehler and Amanda Huff-McClure will give their second performance in Hopkinsville — “An Evening of Bass and Piano” — at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at Grace Episcopal Church, 216 E. Sixth St.

Koehler, of Eddyville, is professor emeritus at Illinois State University, where he taught bass and other music courses for 35 years.

Huff-McClure, of Caldwell County, is a music teacher and co-owns The Corner Coffeehouse in Hopkinsville with her wife, April Huff-McClure.

Koehler and Huff-McClure gave their first concert last November at the Alhambra Theatre.

The suggested admission for the concert at Grace is $10. CDs will be available to purchase. A portion of the ticket and CD proceeds will benefit the church’s music program.
