City contractor to begin street work

Several streets in the Springmont and Hunting Creek neighborhoods are slated to be repaved.

Contractors for the city of Hopkinsville will begin milling and paving work on Monday, April 4, on several streets, the city Public Works Department said in a press release.

The streets are:

  • Creekview Drive
  • Springmont Drive
  • Greenwood Drive
  • Dusty Lane
  • Rocky Point Drive
  • Treasure Island Court
  • Dale Hollow Drive
  • Longbow Court
  • Quail Ridge Drive
  • Crossbow Court

Residents and business owners who use on-street parking in these areas should move their vehicles to make way for the contractor’s equipment, officials said.

The city has allocated $2 million in American Rescue Plan Act funding for street paving and resurfacing projects that begin this spring. A list of those projects is available here.
