Christian, Todd, Trigg public schools closed Tuesday

District officials made the call early and announced schools will be closed Tuesday.

(UPDATE: All locations of Hopkinsville Community College are closed Tuesday, in addition to Heritage Christian Academy and Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School. University Heights Academy will open on a two-hour delay.)

Officials in the pubic school systems for Christian, Todd and Trigg counties announced late Monday that schools will be closed Tuesday.

“Due to worsening road conditions, Christian County Public Schools will not be in session tomorrow …,” an official said “There will be no aftercare available. Thanks and be safe.”

The region was under a winter storm advisory until midnight Monday.

Snow began accumulating Monday evening. Forecasters said the wind chill will be around zero Tuesday morning.
