Christian Heights United Methodist Church is offering produce from its community gardens to anyone wanting to stop by the church and pick vegetables.
“Our garden is very ripe and we need people to come and get the ‘fruit of our vines,’” church pastor Donna Williams told Hoptown Chronicle in an email. “People are welcome to come and help themselves to what they need.”
Williams said the gardens currently have ripe tomatoes, corn, squash and cucumbers. The watermelons in the garden are not ready, so visitors should not pick those, she said.
The church is located at 805 North Drive.
