Six newly confirmed coronavirus cases have been reported in Christian County since Saturday, pushing the total to 125, according to the local health department’s report.
As of Monday afternoon, there were 22 active cases and 100 recovered, in addition to the three deaths from COVID-19 that were reported on April 8.
The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:
- Pediatric (0-21): 5
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 17
- Older Adult (60-84): 0
- Elderly (85+): 0
By race, there were 101 whites with the virus, 23 blacks and one Asian resident.
Statewide, the number of confirmed cases increased to 10,046 with 131 new cases confirmed Sunday and 214 on Monday, according to Gov. Andy Beshear’s daily briefing.
The governor said eight deaths Monday, raising the death total to 439. (No deaths were reported Sunday. )
Since the start of the pandemic, 10,046 cases have been confirmed in Kentucky, and 3.232 people have recovered from the virus.
