Christian County’s three presumptive positive COVID-19 tests now confirmed

Five residents of Christian County have tested positive.

The Christian County Health Department has received an update from the lab that reported the three presumptive positive cases for COVID-19.

All three are now confirmed as positive, Amanda Sweeney, a spokeswoman for the health department, said in a news release Thursday.

Christian County has a total of five confirmed cases of COVID-19. All are adults — ages 21, 24, 37, 61 and 75. The 24-year-old is a man. The others are all women.

‘As always, we would like to remind community members to continue to practice social distancing, frequent hand-washing with warm water and soap, and should you develop any symptoms including dry cough, shortness of breath, or fever, contact your local primary care provider,” Sweeney said.
