Christian County’s state lawmakers to meet with League of Women Voters

Voting rights legislation and legislative redistricting are among topics to be discussed.

Several public affairs issues will be discussed during a League of Women Voters of Hopkinsville meeting on Saturday, April 17, with the three state legislators from Christian County.

The meeting will be from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Community Room at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library.

The public may attend, and masks and social distancing will be required, the league said in a news release.

Reps. Myron Dossett and Walker Thomas, and Sen. Whitney Westerfield have been invited to the meeting.

“Some of the topics covered will be the restoration of voting rights restoration, legislative redistricting, equitable school funding, and encouraging voter participation,” a league member said.

A livestream video of the meeting will be available on the league’s Facebook page
