Christian County’s coronavirus total is 112, including 95 people who have recovered from COVID-19

As of Tuesday, the total number of COVID-19 cases statewide was 8,951 with 387 new cases reported over the Memorial Day holiday.

Christian County had one newly confirmed COVID-19 case Tuesday, bringing the total to 112 since the start of the coronavirus outbreak, the health department reported.

As of Tuesday afternoon, there were 14 active cases and 95 recovered cases, in addition to three deaths reported on April 8.

The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:

  • Pediatric (0-21): 5
  • Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 8
  • Older Adult (60-84): 1
  • Elderly (85+): 0

In his daily briefing Tuesday, Gov. Andy Beshear reported new cases for three days over the Memorial Day holiday: 141 on Saturday, 122 on Sunday and 117 on Monday. The state’s total is 8,951 cases.

The governor reported three deaths raising the total to 394.
