Christian County had one newly confirmed coronavirus case reported Tuesday, pushing the total to 267, the local health department reported.
In a week-to-week comparison, the county just finished its second largest case week.
“As we review the increase in positive cases per week, we saw cases increase by 39 during the week of June 28,” health department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney said in a news release. “While we are glad to see a lower increase for the week of June 28 compared to the week before, this was still our second largest spike in COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic in Christian County.”
As of Tuesday, there were 60 active cases, 203 recovered and four deaths.
By age category, the cases since the start of the pandemic break down to:
- Youth (0-21): 33

- Older Adult (60-84): 47
- Elderly (85+): 4
By racial breakdown, people who have been confirmed to have COVID-19 include 63 Black residents, 198 Caucasians, two Asians and four in a racial category not identified.
