Christian County’s coronavirus case total reaches 249

One new case was reported Wednesday, with 84 active cases and 161 people previously diagnosed with COVID-19 who have recovered.

Christian County had one newly confirmed COVID-19 case reported Wednesday, raising the county’s total to 249, the local health department reported. 

The total includes 84 active cases, 161 recovered and four deaths.

The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:

  • Youth (0-21): 16
  • Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 61
  • Older Adult (60-84): 7
  • Elderly (85+): 0

The small increase between Tuesday and Wednesday comes on the heels of the county’s largest one-week increase, with 54 new coronavirus cases during the week of June 21. Also, 11 new cases were confirmed Tuesday, following 11 new cases between Friday and Monday.
