Christian County scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments for residents 50+

The health department will also continue to offer appointments to all Kentuckians in Phases 1A, 1B and 1C.

The Christian County Health Department on Monday announced that it was extending COVID-19 vaccine availability to include residents 50 and older, in addition to all of Phase 1C.

Vaccine appointments can be scheduled online or by calling the health department at 270-887-4160, ext. 640. The department is experiencing a high call volume, and wait times may be longer than expected, according to health department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney Brunt. The quickest way to sign up is online.

The health department, which operates a regional distribution site at the James E. Bruce Convention Center, also is continuing to offer vaccinations to all residents who fall within Phase 1C, as well as individuals in Phases 1A and 1B.

Kentuckians who are uncertain if they qualify can check vaccine eligibility here.
